Postmodernism is an artistic movement that started in the 60's and 70's as a counterpart to Modernism. So postmodernism was the regeneration of modern art. Postmodernism is also the opposite of the creations of Western civilization from the 18th century. Modernism was a movement in art, architecture and as well as different writing styles that roughly began in the late 19th century and lasted until the late 60's. Architect Modernism produced buildings that reflected upon the styles of the age of the machine and the boycotted styles of the past. Good examples of modernist architects are Frank Lloyd Wright and Walter Gropius. And in the many art movements in modernism is Cubism, Surrealism and Futurism typified Modernism are all different ways of viewing reality from the obscure side of it. And the Modernist literature included work form the writers named James Joyce and T.S. Eliot. They both and all of the others writers played with the new forms of litaurtuer by rejecting the literary tradition and making a straightforward narrative by using those tactics. So all of those rebels of art created what was and is known of post-modernism. People believed that Modernists thought to have had believed in the future and reject the past and that the Postmodernists where or are more pessimistic to seeing the reality and comparing to actual reality and as well, they do not see the world necessarily improving in the future. Postmodernists they could be considered as living in the moment. So Postmodernism first emerged in architecture and art during the 1960s the same Modernism died out. The postmodern architects Stopped using the glass and geometric shapes from the Modernistic architecture, and slightly copied the many historical styles of architect into their buildings and other created work made by them. Postmodern artists like Andy Warhol broke down the barriers between the high-brow and low-brow in Pop Art....
