Dear Minister of Education,
The Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) is currently toward to be top ten university in the world ranking. On 3th October 2012, UiTM listed on the world rangking (626), not far from University Malaya, (596). Regarding the to the ambition of UiTM to become top ten in world ranking, one of the most important aspect that need to be consider is to provide a good facilities in the university that achieved the required standard. The whole country is aware that the standards of institutions of higher studies in Malaysia is quite low compared to international universities in developed countries such as Havard University, Cambrige University and Cornell University. Let’s compare UiTM with Cornell University. Cornell University is a first-class reseach and teaching university and a world leader in nanotechnology and materials reaseach, with active startegic research thrustd in advanced materials, the life sciences, information technology, and a new initiative in sustainable development. The UiTM’ s faculties consist 4000 academics, scholar and researhers. The universities has expanded nationwide with four satellite campuses, 12 branch campuses, nine city campuses and 21 affiliated colleges. With this network and over 17,000 staff, the university offers more than 300 academic programmes. It is home to some 172,000 students, bumiputera and international students. Since UiTM Shah Alam is the main campus, it’s very crowded with students. Traffic jams is the one of the big issues in UiTM due to a lot of student and staff vehicles and there are no enough parking lots provided. One of the solution that suggested is provide multilevel parking lots. This can reduce traffic jams during peak hour and facilitate students, lecturers and staffts to manage their affair. Not need to waste their time to find parking lot and can avoid from being sued by the police. Beside that, dedicated shuttle service that link the campuses, UiTM Shah Alam...
