Commuting or Dorming

It's not about the money, money, money!
After deciding on what school to attend students from all over the country now have the same question in mind; whether to commute or live near campus. For some high school seniors the decision is easy, but however for others this decision is quite difficult. Many factors play a role on deciding whether to commute or live on or around campus such as finances, time and distance. For example say you wake up passed 8 a.m. and realize class starts in 30 minutes. If you live on campus or around campus you have time to get dressed grab a snack and be on your way to class on time. However if you a commuter you have to deal with the stress of finding parking and more than likely arriving to class late. This makes it a better choice to live on campus or around campus to gain the college experience, life learning skills, such as being independent and to become a responsible adult. Living on campus or around campus makes it easy to feel part of the school. With being walking distance to class, dinning services, the gym, the post office and campus events this makes it a smoother transition from high school to college. Students become experts around the campus and make the university their home away from home. This makes college a fun and great experience for students; the social opportunities are just a few steps this makes it accessible for students to make friends and feel once again apart of the school. According to Dorming or Commuting: Which Is Best for You? “Because you are always surrounded by fellow students, it's a lot easier to make friends and develop lasting relationships. Even if you don't have a roommate, you're sure to meet students who live in your dorm hall.” Having all the resources around campus like libraries and tutoring centers makes it easy for students to successfully pass their first year college.
